We offer URL category databases as well as real-time content analysis and rating technology to deal with today’s proliferation of Web 2.0 content. Our software development kit (SDK) is delivered as a robust application programming interface (API) coupled with a high-speed categorization server application. The solution is very flexible and easy to integrate into any application that needs category information for URLs or other content (i.e. web page content, images, or SMS/IM messages).
Common implementations of the RuleSpace technology are:
- ISP and Mobile Operator network operation centers
- UTM security devices and other web appliances or software
- Hosted or managed services
- Client software
The solution works by passing URLs or other web content to the API. The URLs or content are either looked up in the appropriate database or analyzed in real-time (depending on what was passed to the API), and a category response is returned. The category response can then be used to allow/block access to a web site, deliver an appropriate advertisement, replace or remove inappropriate text, generate reports, or anything else.
