RuleSpace’s web categorization products are designed to power URL filtering functionality in a wide range of security products, including endpoint security software, web filtering appliances, unified threat management (UTM) devices and managed web security services.
RuleSpace proactively categorizes web sites into over 80 categories in 17 languages. This category information is available to our OEM partners via a low-impact, scalable, and cost effective SDK solution. Our licenses include all software and database updates as well as 24/7 support.
The RuleSpace URL Category Database was started in 1996 and currently contains over 60 million sites representing billions of web pages. We add thousands of new categorized sites to the database every day and remove millions of sites per year that no longer exist ensuring our database is the most accurate reflection of the Internet today.
Our optional real-time categorization technology is well established as the fastest and most accurate in the industry. It can be used to examine the content of individual pages of frequently changing sites (e.g. social networking or blogging) ‘on-the-fly’, ensuring no inappropriate content is displayed.
We offer a broad range of optional plug-in products and services including the Internet Watch Foundation’s Child Abuse & Illegal Content (CAIC) list, image recognition engines, anti-phishing URL lists, and anti-malware (in summer 2008).

Our highly flexible product design ensures easy integration into just about any architecture on all major platforms.
